Lilacs are one of the more aromatic flowers there are.

Unfortunately, they only are in bloom for a few weeks during the spring but Lilac bushes can last for a hundred or more years.

Evening primrose are interesting flowers as they only bloom in the evening hours.

They are a perennial plant meaning they grow back year after year.

The Million Bell flower has a strong resemblance to a miniature petunia plant.

You will find it blooms from the early spring to late fall and can be grown inside or outside. The Million Bell is a good plant for a beginner gardener.

The trick to growing orchids successfully is to duplicate the plant's natural environment as closely as possible.

Petunias are excellent to use in window boxes or hanging baskets. Their cascading blooms spilling over the sides of the boxes or baskets are simply breathtaking.

They are a very aromatic flower and easy for the beginner gardner.

Salvia

There are many benefits to growing your own salvia. Many people use salvia in herbal home remedies.

It is a fairly easy plant to grow and looks nice when used as a background in floralĀ arrangements.

Passion Flower

Passion flowers produce an oval berry a bit smaller in size than an average kiwi fruit. The fruit is edible but has many seeds.

Some people make jelly from the fruit the Passion flower produces, however it is a better source of food for butterflies.

This Hub reminds me of my small town Iowa days, when my mother was a florist and grew most of her own flowers in our garden

Thanks Kim!

Up, useful, awesome, and beautiful!
